We cannot deny that it will be a fantastic experience. However, it will also be a huge challenge with an average of over 6 hours trekking up and down steps each day. I am undertaking this challenge for my dad who is terminally ill with cancer. He has received fantastic support from the Iain Rennie Hospice At Home, an organisation which gives, free of charge, home based palliative nursing care and family support for those coping with a terminal illness. They are primarily funded through charitable donations, therefore it is so important to raise as much as possible. David Kurk, who as well as being a semi-professional international rugby referee, has just finished a very successful season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his own show Flyerman, a comical look at those annoying people who hand out flyers. The show was very well received and we have no doubt he will headlining there again sometime in the future. |
